THE WEEK AT ST PETER'S

  It's summer!
Walk to School Week.  If you travel to school by car, why not 'Park and Stride' - park further away and enjoy a slightly longer walk to school?  
Thursday 23  'Be the Best You Can Be' programme launch - visiting speaker Toby Garbett
  Parents 'drop-in' session, 3.30-4.00pm
Friday 24 Break up for half term; school finishes at 3.25pm

APPLYING FOR A PLACE AT ST PETER'S
Parents who have applied for a place for their child to start in Year 3 in September 2013 will be sent notification of the outcome on 16 April 2013.  Appeals must be officially lodged with the Appeals Clerk by 16 May 2013.  For details please read our Appeals Timetable 2013/14.  There is more information on our Information for Parents page and on the Hampshire County Council website.

BUY4SCHOOLS
The Friends have registered St Peter's with the Buy4Schools website.  Every time you use the Buy4Schools website to buy online you earn cashback which is split between you and your school.  Once you have earned £10 it can be paid into your bank account.  More on the Buy4Schools website ...
  FoSP Summer Fair, 29 June
FoSP SUMMER FAIR, Saturday 29 June
The Summer Fair is only SIX WEEKS AWAY!  Please contact the Friends on friends@st-peters-jun.hants.sch.uk if:
  • you know anyone who would like to have a stall at our Summer Fair (cost = £15)
  • you are able to help out at the Fair and/or with the preparations
  • you have a gazebo the school could borrow for the Fair
The Summer Fair Football Tournament and Dance Competition will be taking place again this year too - entry forms should be returned to Mrs Mitchell (football) or Mrs Winter (dance).
PARENT GOVERNOR VACANCY
We have a vacancy on the Governing Body for a Parent Governor.  A number of our governors are parents of children attending the school, including Mrs Dee, Mrs Kendall, Mrs Minchin, Mrs Ballantyne, Mrs Jones and Mr Wright; please approach them if you wish to discuss the nature of the role.  Alternatively you could speak with Mr Walker who is Chair of the Governing Body.  Please contact the office for further details and a nomination form.
